Terra Laura
The owner of Domaine de Montcy, Laura grew up in Imperia ( Italy). For 3 generations his family manufactured olive oil. She studied nutrition in Milan and began a career in the food industry. Through daily contact with the leaders of the Italian cuisine , she educated his palate. She took night classes and became a sommelier. Then she moved to Switzerland to join her French husband and got a job in international agribusiness. It took less than a year to Laura to realize his dream of becoming vigneron. First, it establishes the main criteria for selecting the desired property : a high quality of AOC wines in a region renowned , professional team of experts, potential for sales growth and an acquisition budget at its money! Laura spent her free time traveling in France and Italy , visiting areas , tasting wine, meeting people and amount of business plans. At the end of 2006 , his determination was rewarded. Laura fell in love with Domaine de Montcy . She not only identified herself with her wine, but she also felt at home in this beautiful region of the Loire Valley . She established a good relationship with the owner and his team and the field was also ready to convert to organic farming. Finally, located in Cheverny (996 inhabitants and 28 castles ) , the Domaine enjoyed a strong potential to develop Tourism .
