ONAV Italian National Organization of Wine Masters was founded in Asti, Piedmont - Italy in 1951 and in 1981 obtained legal recognition by the Italian Government.

ONAV is a Government organization that promotes the culture of Italian wine in the world, preparing and certifying wine-tasters with different levels of courses on Italian wines.

It currently consists of more than 15,000 members covering the whole of Italy and with overseas offices in China, USA, Europe (Brussels), Tokyo (Japan).

ONAV is in China with its permanent headquarters in Shanghai from December 5, 2012 and it organizes courses with certificates to become wine-tasters.

The Comissioner of ONAV Shanghai is Mr. Antonio Scialletti. He is the 4th generation of the oldest wine-producing family in Abruzzo - Italy, producing oustanding wines in Italy and exporting them worldwide.

During the famous Vinitaly Exhibition in 2001, his family winery received the "Grand Gold Medal (Best Red of Vinitaly 2001)".

 

Onav Shanghai organizes Wine trainings of different levels in Shanghai, certifying Wine Masters and providing them with a certificate, recognized by ONAV Italy, and a Membership Card.

 

The certificate allows the Wine Master to attend the Advanced course in Italy during the Wine Tour and the Membership Card gives to the its holder dicounts and benefices in ONAV affiliated Restaurants.
